Love People, Use Things

Use things and love people. - A lot of people have this backwards. They use people to buy things they love. I think the word connections or collaboration has unfortunately gotten this connotation recently. There’s this stigma that you are going out to meet or work with people simply for what you gain in the process. It’s not to make friends, or genuinely get to know how you can provide value to them, it’s so you can meet people that can get you from A to B. - I honestly really don’t like the word connections. I feel like it takes the human element out of the person and diminishes them down to basically a pawn. Especially in the entertainment industry, people use others to gain status all the time and it’s awful. Nothing is worse than feeling used. - So how do we fix this? - Well, we have to pursue a life of meaning rather than “success.” Success will come when you give without expectation, and you will feel incredibly more fulfilled in the process. - Stop using people for what they have or know to get to what you want, but rather approach each “connection” as an opportunity to genuinely get to know another human being going through the same crazy things you are. - Love people. Use things. Not the other way around. Be blessed and stay stoked😎🤙 • • • • • •
