How to ACTUALLY GET PAID to shoot resorts šŸ‘‡ Tbh I’m tired of people promoting how to get free stays. I see people shilling courses on it and it makes absolutely no sense. It’s not sustainable, it’s not a real job, and it diminishes everyone’s value overtime. I don’t know of a single other industry that encourages people to work for free so I’m out here to change that. Here’s how to ACTUALLY get paid šŸ’ø And BTW it takes a little more intelligence than spamming ā€œI love this resortā€ in the comments and copy and pasting your ebook reach out script but I PROMISE it’s worth it. Also I think this goes without saying but if you want to get paid, you have to treat it like a real job. Not a vacation. Ok enough of that let’s jump in. 1ļøāƒ£ Understand your client How do they get business, who is their customer, what are they doing that’s not currently working etc. if you don’t know your client you have like a 1% chance of being hired. 2ļøāƒ£ Make something valuable How can you solve their main business problems with content? And by extension, how can you prove that’s true? Saying ā€œI can make videos for social mediaā€ is useless and gets you marked as spam or used as free labor. 3ļøāƒ£ Find the decision maker Pitching the intern in the DMs does you no good. Find who’s in charge (ideally marketing manager, brand manager, or GM) and reach out to them 4ļøāƒ£ Offer value upfront Pitching ā€œI can make videos, here’s examples, pay me thousands of dollarsā€ is a great way to get marked as spam. Giving them free value up front is an even better way to get a conversation. Then get them on a discovery call that you position as helping them implement the value you’ve given them. (Achieving the goal through content) 5ļøāƒ£ Give them a great experience. Onboarding, consultations, logistics, shoot day, delivery, all has to be dialed. It’s how separate yourself from everyone else in the industry.
