How a Photographer Landed $50k+ Projects in One Year
How she did itš
Last week I asked my client Cyntia to share some of her story in our weekly creator group call since it was officially a year since we started working together.
When I first met Cyntia I knew she was a winner.
Maybe she didnāt have the clients or budgets yet, but she had the 1 thing you canāt teachā¦
She was gonna find a way to win no matter what!
She knew her photography was good enough to land big projects, she just needed a plan to pitch, price, and land themā¦ quick!
Within a few months of working together she landed a $19k brand projectā¦
Then a $50k cookbook shootā¦
And lots of ālittleā (mid 4 figure š) shoots in between.
So how the heck was she able to do this?!?
Simple.
ā
She became a growth creator
Hereās the biggest game changersā¦
1ļøā£ Changed her pitch
Instead of pitching just photos, she pitched full scale content marketing solutions that were way more than just photography. (Hint: they solved a major problem and saved the brand a lot of time and headache)
2ļøā£ Developed a unique style
Competition is irrelevant if you canāt be compared. She works with a stylist to help give her photography a very elevated style that is unique to her. Now she gets inbound projects for people wanting THAT! Some even say sheās āoverqualifiedā itās so good!
3ļøā£ Pricing
Instead of pricing generic per content rates, she now factors in the potential value of the content for a brand and charges licenses in addition to the base creative fee.
And because she has built up a ton of high quality examples, she has the confidence to pitch $10k+ projects knowing full well itās worth that to the brand š
