How a 30-Day Challenge Transformed My Life
How I disappeared for 30 days and changed my life.
If you’ve been wondering why I haven’t posted in the last month here’s the real answer: I realized late last year that I wasn’t living up to my potential in all kinds of ways but specifically mentally, physically, and spiritually. I decided to make some big changes over the last 30 days and the results have been amazing so I figured I’d share.
1. I started the year with a 3 day fast. No food. Just water. The goal was to seek God’s plan for me this year and to be honest, I’ve never felt more directed than I do now.
2. Pray every day (especially with my wife)
3. Bible study every morning (I just finished Proverbs and am currently going through Ecclesiastes. I’ve read it before but it takes on a new meaning at this stage of my life.
4. Join a connect group of fellow believers so we can grow and encourage each other through life.
5. No social media consumption (besides random videos Abby shows me haha)
6. Workout every day (4 days of weight training, 3 days running outside)
7. Follow a diet. Specifically, I’ve been trying to hit 3500 calories 45% 30% 25% split for carbs, fats, and proteins. I’ve also been trying to eat at least 200 g of protein per day. I’ve gained close to 10 pounds the last month and feel a lot better.
8. Deeply understand my limiting beliefs. I realized that what was holding me back from my goals was not my skills, but my belief system. I had to change the way I looked at the world (it’s still a work in progress)
9. Take a sabbath. God created a sabbath for our benefit and to glorify him. It’s a gift and we rob ourselves of it if we don’t accept it (FYI it doesn’t have to be sunday)
10. Aim to create a business that is truly valuable and better than what anyone else is doing.
Here’s one last bonus:
Cultivating an abundance mindset. I realized so much of my life, business, faith, etc. was built on the scarcity mindset which ultimately boils down to a lack of patience. Again it’s a work in progress but letting go and having faith have brought me a long way.
Have you implemented any of these and if so, what sort of changes did you witness?
Be blessed and stay stoked 😎🤙
