In a world where everyone wants to automate everything, it’s easy to forget that business is done person to person. Think about it. When’s the last time you got a scripted promo email and you were like “I’m stoked to respond to this!” Probably never, yet that’s how creators treat their prospecting process. Find a script on a blog or course. Copy and paste. Blast it out to any email they can find and cross their fingers and hope to get a response. That’s not a strategy, and that’s not how the big production companies do it. Creators have been so engrained with the idea that more is better (it’s a numbers game is what the growth gurus tell you) that they forget to actually include something valuable in their emails and as a result end up sending more of the spammy emails that don’t get results. Sound familiar? Everyone wants the script, the magic words to say, but tbh the words don’t matter if you don’t first understand why someone would even care to respond. That’s the real secret sauce. Until you figure that out you’ll be lumped in with all the other spam emails that creators send that get ignored. It’s my mission to change that paradigm. I’m tired of seeing talented creators spinning their wheels with low paying, high maintenance clients that leave them feeling burnt out every month. That’s why I post what I post.
