God's Redemptive Grace for All
He is risen! -
It’s interesting how in Mark 16 after 2 women found that Jesus was missing from the tomb, that an angel appeared and told them to tell the disciples AND Peter that Jesus has risen. -
Why did the angel specifically call out Peter (who was a disciple btw)? A little back story. - Peter was the guy that betrayed Jesus. He’s the guy that cut off a soldiers ear. He’s the guy that when Jesus needed him the most, was asleep under the tree. He’s the guy that after Jesus died, decided to throw in the towel on the ministry and go back to his old fishing job. But he’s the very guy the angel told the women at the tomb to report to of Jesus’ raising from the dead. -
I wonder if there’s some of us like Peter. Who’ve screwed up a bunch of times and maybe were even in church at one point but saw that it wasn’t for us and decided to go back to our old lives? -
You wanna know the crazy part though? Jesus made that guy, Peter, the leader of the church and under his leadership Christianity spread like wildfire. -
God is not done with you yet. You may be behind in the 3rd quarter, but that’s why Jesus came. When you trust that He came to save you, despite you, you will be given a new mission and purpose and nothing in this world can touch you because He is yours and you are His. And the best part is there is nothing you can do to win that and nothing you can do to lose it because it’s already been done. All you have to do is accept it. -
And that is the reason we celebrate today! Happy Easter! -
Be blessed and stay stoked😎🤙
