Luck is not a strategy, yet that is the exact “strategy” most creators rely on. Posting more, engaging more, getting better gear, hoping to eventually go viral, it all doesn’t matter when it comes to creating an actual living for yourself in the creative industry, and if you’re wasting your time on those things then I’m sure you’ve been met with the disrespectful free gigs quite often… or worse, just crickets. No one is coming to save you. Not the latest IG update, not some new trending audio, not the ebook your favorite influencer is shilling out, not even a course because success requires 2 things. Speed of learning AND speed of implementation. If you are learning but not implementing then you are wasting your time because while you’re messing around with an outreach template that 357 other creators have already used and abused, the pro creators (I.e. the ones that actually get paid to do it) are iterating on their offers, brand bridges, positioning, and systems to constantly be improving. And btw if you do this stuff right creating outreaches that convert is a breeze. But no one tells you this. Why? Because it’s easier to say copy and paste this 100 times and hopefully something good will happen. It’s hard work to build a brand bridge, it’s hard work to learn sales, it’s hard work to make this a real job which is why most people don’t. That’s why I created paid to create.
