Celebrating the Light of the World

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.” - MLK JR - Have you ever wondered why Christmas is on December 25th? A lot of people think its to celebrate Jesus’ birthday. Of course that’s the reason for the day, but no one actually knows Jesus’ real birth date. So why the 25th? - Back in the 3rd century when emperor Constantine established Rome as a Christian state they wanted to establish a day specifically set aside to celebrate the birth of Christ. They chose December 25th because it was their winter solstice (the shortest day of the year). - In other words. They chose the darkest day of the year to celebrate the coming of the light. There is always hope in the darkness, and although it may feel like the darkness is long and overbearing, we can celebrate today because the LIGHT OF THE WORLD has come to drive it out! - Merry Christmas! - Be blessed and stay stoked😎🤙 • • • • • •
