An aerial view of a person surfing a wave in stunningly clear turquoise waters. The surfer is a mere speck in the vast expanse of the ocean, with the wave forming a perfect circular barrel around them. The vibrant blue hues of the water contrast beautifully against the sandy shoreline in the background, creating a breathtaking scene that captures the essence of surfing and the power of nature.

Being Unrealistic Is a Compliment

Being unrealistic is a compliment. - How many times do you think the people you look up to have been told they’re being unrealistic? I’m sure more times than they can count, and if they listened, you almost certainly would not know who they are. So why is this such common advice? - I think most of the time, people that give this advice are projecting their own fears and insecurities on to you. Sometimes it’s good intentioned because maybe they had an unsuccessful attempt at something similar, but more often than not, they are projecting they’re own fear of failure onto you. - So maybe we should start gauging people’s reactions to our goals not as a deterrent or a discourager, but as a motivator. If your dreams don’t make people say something along the lines of “be realistic” they probably aren’t big enough. - Be blessed and stay stoked 😎🤙 - Edited with my Tropics presets (link in bio) - • • • • • •
