Tips for Exploring Death Valley National Park
Death Valley in the winter is a photographer and explorers dream. Here are some tips to fully enjoy the park
⏰Time your days to explore golden hour to blue hour for sunset and sunrise. This will amplify your visibility of the unique colors, textures and scenes
🍂❄️🌺Fall to spring are the preferred and safest times to go for cooler temps.
⛺️My fav campsite is Texas springs because you have a view and can hike the hills behind the campsite at sunset
🌠✨Be sure to include stargazing at night in your agenda. It has some of the best dark skies in the state of California. This is a great spot to view meteor showers
🥾Check out the visitor center and attend ranger talks to learn about the geology, animal life and history of the park. It’s fascinating.
🚿You can book a shower pass at the oasis springs resort for $14/day if you’re camping
⛽️Gas up out of the park for savings
🍭stop at the candy shop. It’s one of the largest in the country and you can get all kinds of candied fruits, nuts and dried veggies
⚠️Check the road conditions before making plans. Many areas closed due to flooding
🗺️The park is almost the size of Connecticut. Plan in advance so you can make the most of your time.
We spent a week there and could easily spend several weeks exploring.
Enjoy this natural wonder of a park!!
