“Humble” comes from Latin humus, meaning "earth, ground." From humus came the Latin adjective humilis, meaning "low, near the ground.” Nothing makes me feel more humble, down to earth, and small, than opting outside on foot and staying the night where the starlight goes unchallenged 💚
