Kym Wylder
A young woman stands waist-deep in a serene mountain lake, against a stunning backdrop of towering evergreen trees and rocky cliffs. She has her arms outstretched, and the movement of her hands creates twin arcs of water spraying outward, frozen in mid-air. The crystal-clear water shimmers with shades of turquoise and green, reflecting the lush vegetation surrounding the lake. The woman wears a sleek black one-piece swimsuit, her dark hair cascading down her back. The scene exudes a sense of tranquility and oneness with nature, inviting the viewer to pause and appreciate the beauty of the moment.

Finding Happiness in Slowness

Is it just me or has time felt like it’s been moving as slowly as it felt like when we were kids for the first time in decades? Have been thinking of all the positives that are happening in these times and am feeling grateful. Off the hedonic treadmill, learning to live only in today without obsessing about the future, growing patient, cooking, crafting, reading, taking time to just exist instead of go go go do do do. Hope is on the horizon, but for now I’m learning to find happiness in the art of doing nothing.
