Northern Lights Spectacle

Would you stay up all night for this? I’d seen the northern lights 7x before this night, but always in Alaska and never this far south. Every time is different, special. The most remarkable thing about this time was that so many people around the globe got to share and experience it at once. Collective awe and bonding across borders and time zones. That makes it truly enchanting. Having experiences like this without being able to share it with others, feels less connective, almost like you could see the wind and so few have. The sharing is really where the magic lies. I stayed up all night for this while my team slept before summiting Mt St Helens at 2am, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
