Excited for Summer Fishing Adventures

I just renewed my fishing and crabbing license here in Washington and it got me so excited for all the fishing trips ahead, and even more thrilled for the meals we’ll make and share with friends this summer. Fishing has been a core hobby in my life ever since I lived in Alaska back in 2010-2012. There’s nothing quite like preparing a meal when you’ve gone and fished for it yourself, to make you fully appreciate and enjoy every moment of it from start to finish. This trip to the Florida keys was the best time I’ve ever had in Florida. It was fish on for days as we caught tuna, mahi mahi, grouper, scuba dived, explored, camped on dry tortugas, and shared the most incredible self-caught and cooked meals together. I cannot wait to head back here for some more experiences like this. Ps, that poke we whipped up was the best I’d ever had in my life and it was so abundant for us all to share, no skimping on portions. For me summer is all about being outside, and there’s at least 20 ways I do this. It’s not just all hiking and backpacking. My hobbies are as diversified as my taste in food, and fishing is the tastiest part of summer feasts for me. Would you/do you fish?
