A lone figure sits cross-legged on the ground, draped in a vibrant patterned blanket or cloak. The person wears a white head covering and faces away from the camera, gazing out towards a breathtaking desert landscape. Towering red rock formations stand majestically in the distance, their shapes sculpted by wind and time. The sky above is a brilliant blue, dotted with wispy clouds. The scene exudes a sense of tranquility and wonder, inviting the viewer to pause and appreciate the natural beauty of this iconic southwestern desert vista.

Epic Southwestern Adventure Day

My favorite kind of days play out like an adventure sandwich. Early sunrises filled with high stoke action, a nap somewhere beautiful and peaceful, and topped off with some kind of sunset highlight/activity/ escapade. This morning we rose for a sunrise tour of monument valley, enjoyed a wonderful 3 hours taking in all the views and sights we could get into. Then hit the road and droned otherworldly landscapes, making notes of canyons to potentially canyoneer. We hit up a swap meet ripe with Navajo jewelry, textiles and bites. Tonight we’ll meetup with friends at sunset in lake Powell for the hot air balloon regatta “glow” event in Page- a gorgeous sight to behold as 30+ hot air balloons glow along the streets of page and the night becomes alive with festival vibes. These kinds of days aren’t just good, they’re the stuff my soul will survive on when my body becomes old and weary many years from now. These memories nourish your life force. How do you take/ plan your adventures? 🥪 Bye for now, it’s siesta time 😉🥱 PS, this is 100% unedited/ raw. Sometimes life is just that beautiful and doesn’t need to be altered to be perfect 🏜️ 📸: @camiloexplore
