Kym Wylder
A lone hiker stands before an impressive rock formation in a rugged, coastal landscape. The central focus is a large, naturally formed stone arch with jagged edges and a weathered surface. The hiker, wearing a vibrant red jacket and dark pants, is positioned just in front of the arch, providing scale to the massive geological feature. The arch frames a view of the sky beyond, creating a dramatic contrast between the solid rock and the open air. Surrounding the main arch are other large boulders and rocky outcroppings, some covered with patches of moss or lichen, indicating a damp climate. At the base of the rocks, there appears to be a small pool of water, suggesting this could be a tidal area. The overall scene conveys a sense of adventure, natural wonder, and the raw beauty of untamed landscapes.

Shifting from Nomad Life to Building Deep Roots

You can’t walk two paths at once. Robert Frost wrote about choosing the road less traveled. For the last five years, I’ve chosen that wild, winding path, venturing into the unknown, chasing the adventures of my deepest dreams. But now, a new journey calls—one that asks me to turn inward, to focus. This year’s adventure is about nurturing my business, creativity, & the legacy I want to build. Being a digital nomad has been beautiful—proving you can live freely, explore endlessly, & succeed on the road. But some dreams need roots to grow. Wanderlust can pull you away from the focus needed to build something bigger than yourself. The times that brought me the most growth weren’t under the bright sun of desert skies, but in the dark, rainy winters of AK & Seattle. That’s where I bloomed. All sun & no rain creates a desert. I felt that deeply in CA, UT, & AZ. Now, it’s time to plant myself in one place, embrace the rain, & build something greater than anything I’ve known—something that takes full attention, time, & commitment. This season isn’t about chasing freedom, it’s about choosing a new kind of adventure—one where I stay put, dig deep, & let my ideas take root. That doesn’t mean the adventure is over. It’s just shifting. I’ll still be traveling, but with more focus, shorter stints, & a clearer purpose. On the road, I met few truly living the digital nomad life, & even fewer building businesses from the ground up. It’s time to return to my foundation, to ground myself, so I can bloom again, just like nature in the spring. As I double down on this chapter, what can I share from 5 years of growth & exploration? How can I help you get where you want to go & experience what you’ve seen me embark on? Let’s grow together—while the paths we walk may be different, we all need to choose the right one for ourselves.
