Olympic Peninsula Adventure Weekend Itinerary
📂Save this post for a perfect Washington weekend itinerary this spring or summer. Head to the olympics and check out these stops for a 2-3 day getaway just 3 hours from Seattle.
1. 🏄♀️Surf at Crescent beach. Great waves 🌊with a consistent set, perfect for beginners and long boarders.
1. What you’ll need - a 5ml wet suit, booties, hood, and gloves, surfboard, and leash
2. Where to stay - Crescent beach RV park, direct access to beach and the staff there are wonderful. Excellent facilities and warm showers.
2. Paddle board Crescent Lake
1. There are several launch points you can park at and launch your kayak or SUP all along the lake perimeter.
2. Pro-tip: go early morning or late afternoon to skip the wind tunnels. Winds can get 15knots + out there. Try to make it to Devils Punch bowl, the colors are insane
3. Hike Mt Storm King ⛰-5.5 miles, 2100 ft of gain
1. Pro-tip - bring gloves for the ropes section (its super easy, ropes are just there for added support on the loose dirt slope)
2. Try to avoid weekends to avoid the crowds
3. Camp at Fairholme campgrounds for either tent or van/cabover/rv sites
4. Bring your hammock for some excellent R&R in the olympic national forest listening to all the birds and the wind through the trees.
5. Leave no trace
