Kym Wylder
A stunning natural rock formation in the shape of an archway towers overhead, framing a vibrant blue sky. The arched bridge is composed of undulating layers of red sandstone, smoothed and sculpted by eons of wind and erosion into mesmerizing patterns and striations. Clusters of yellow wildflowers bloom at the base of the sandstone, adding pops of color to the rugged landscape. A lone hiker can be seen silhouetted within the heart of the arch, dwarfed by the monumental scale of the formation, appearing as a mere speck against the grandeur of nature.

Blooming Into My True Self

My last name is flores which means flowers in Spanish. I hated it all my life until lately because well, I never felt in bloom. Was always just surviving, struggling, faltering, flailing in the wind as I tried so hard to fit in amongst the thorny roses. Turns out I’m a late bloomer and just needed to water my own garden, feed my soul instead of feeding into the expectations of others. Learn to care not if I fit in amongst the other flowers, and learn to celebrate the uniqueness of my own petals, vibrancy and environments ripe for thriving. Your life is your own to water and feed and it’s not going to look the same, better, or worse than others. It’s going to look how yours is supposed to. Tend to yourself and intentionally seek out the things that will cause you to bloom. If you’re not thriving where you are, get up and change your environment, the people you’re influenced by, and the food you’re nourishing your life with. This arch is sick, so fun, and so cool to rappel down. And the whole experience… it’s my flower food, replacing all the bad memories with badass ones of my own creation where I get to overcome and rewire decades of damage with decades of strength and blossoming 🌻🪷
