Pepperoni Pizza Bread Recipe
Happy National Pizza Day! Celebrate by making some Pepperoni Pizza Bread!
Ingredients:
1 large french bread loaf OR 2 small french bread loaves
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 pound of shredded mozzarella
1 small bag of mini pepperoni slices
pizza sauce for dipping
Directions:
🍕Preheat oven to 350 F.
🍕Cube the cream cheese. In a medium bowl using a spoon, mix together cream cheese and mini pepperoni slices thoroughly. Set aside.
🍕Using a bread knife or a serrated knife, cut a long trough out of each loaf of bread, then using your fingers very gently remove the section of bread.
🍕Place each loaf on a greased cookie sheet OR line with parchment paper.
🍕Now fill each trough with the cream cheese and pepperoni mixture. Top with shredded mozzarella, then the bread sections, then top with a sprinkling more of shredded mozzarella.
🍕Bake for 20 minutes. Cool slightly, then cut each loaf into 1 1/2 to 2 inch slices.
🍕Serve with homemade or store bought pizza sauce for dipping.
