DIY Origami Shark Bookmark
Get your kids take a bite out of summer reading with an Origami Shark Bookmark. Kids will love being able to bite another page each time they read; this bookmark is a total motivator in my house. (Doesn’t it resemble Baby Shark? Baby shark doo doo doo doo doo doo…) 🦈💕🦈
SUPPLIES:
Origami Paper (the 6-inch x 6-inch size)
White Cardstock
Scissors
Craft Glue (the clear drying kind)
Googly Eyes
DIRECTIONS:
Turn your square origami paper diagonally and fold over so each corner is touching each other. Forming a large triangle.
Take the two pointed sizes and fold them up to form another smaller triangle.
Open up the two sides you just folded and take the top piece of paper and fold it down until it touches the point at the bottom.
Take the two sides and fold them into the pocket you created in step 4.
Turn the entire paper upside down and you will have your basic shape finished.
It’s time to decorate! First, start by cutting out teeth using your scissors and white cardstock. Then cut out a triangle for the mouth using another sheet of origami paper. I used a light pink.
Glue the teeth onto the inside of your face. This is also the time to glue on your googly eyes and mouth piece.
All that is left to do is cut out a few triangles for the fins. Glue these on and you are done with your Origami Shark Bookmark!
