An assortment of colorful and vibrant beaded snakes crafted from pipe cleaners and pony beads. Each snake is made by threading pony beads of various bright colors like purple, green, yellow, and red onto a bendable pipe cleaner, creating a wiggly, serpentine shape. The heads of the snakes are formed by folding the pipe cleaner back on itself and securing a triangular shape with the same-colored beads. Googly eyes and a small red pipe cleaner tongue are glued onto the heads, giving the snakes a whimsical and playful expression. The snakes vary in color combinations and patterns, showcasing the creativity and craftsmanship involved in making these delightful beaded creations.

Beaded Snake Craft for Kids

These beaded snakes are one of our favorite crafts! As kids make them, they are being creative and working on hand-eye-coordination. You could also encourage your child to sort the colors, make patterns, or count the beads to add in some math practice. Once the snake has been made, they are ready to play with. Supplies: Pipe Cleaners in a variety of colors Red pipe cleaner Pony beads Googly eyes Hot glue gun Directions: Bend the end of a pipe cleaner to prevent the beads from slipping off, then let your child thread the beads onto the pipe cleaner. To make the head, the last six beads on each pipe cleaner should be the same color. Fold the pipe cleaner back on itself to create a triangular-shape. Cut the red pipe cleaner into small pieces, then fold the end to create a thick tongue. Help your child and use the hot glue to attach this piece to the bottom of your snake’s head. Glue on the eyes, then bend the body into an “s” shape. Now the snake is ready to slither around.
