Dual culture (or more) kids: Iām talking to you!

There are different versions of us: second-generation immigrants, third-culture kids, etc. If you were raised between two cultures, comment what they are below!

I find that, without meaning to, I end up with lots of close friends that immigrated young or are 2nd-gen immigrants. Not just from Greece; from all over the world.
ā¢ā¢
In a weird way, we understand each otherās experiences even more than the two cultures we find ourselves between (in my case, US and Greece).
ā¢ā¢
For most of us, our lives have been about trying to walk the line and bridge the gap between our parentsā culture or homeland culture and our current country. Preserving heritage while operating in a different society. It can feel disorienting at times. Just a little out of place wherever we are, wherever we go.

But Iāve also learned to appreciate the upsides of this cultural tightrope walk. The ability to constantly adapt, question norms, and pick and choose the best of each way of life youāre exposed to.
