Just a short ride from downtown is the hilly, green neighborhood of Echo Park. It’s also quite walkable, especially along Sunset Boulevard (yes, there ARE LA neighborhoods that are 100% walkable guys!), where you’ll find cool coffee shops, murals, boutiques, and restaurants serving cuisine from many different parts of the world.

You can spend the day pedal boating on Echo Lake (pictured above), and enjoying amazing views of the city. What I love best about this neighborhood is that even though you’re so close to both downtown and central LA, it feels really quiet and peaceful here - a world away.
