When life occasionally drops something awesome into your day: •••••• My first external hard drive I used for photos was hopelessly corrupted two years ago. With the exception of a few of the best photos I had edited and uploaded to SmugMug, I thought I had lost EVERYTHING - photos from Paris, #Hawaii, Greece, and other places. (I know, I know, I backup a lot now) •••••• Today, while trying to clean out my "your startup disk is full"-flashing Mac, I discover these weirdly marked folders in my iPhoto library (which I never ever use). They contain original RAW files of EVERY SINGLE PHOTO that was on my corrupted hard drive. •••••• I know most of you don't care, but I can't express how happy I am now. I just rediscovered around 3,000 photos I thought were gone forever. •••••• I've included one from #Maui here, just cause I'm happy 😁 •••••• Sometimes it's nice to focus on the things that go right and the days you just get lucky.
