EDIT SUNDAY 3: Dealing with grey skies. For the full mini-tutorial, check out my #Instagram story. •• A lot of major cities I like to photograph have one major problem: the skies and weather are rarely conducive to good photos (looking at you, New York and London). Flat gray skies (see original image) kill most photos. •• Some photographers go ahead and photoshop in an entirely different sky, but if you don’t want to do that level of editing, and want a more real portrayal of the cloudy view you took a photo of, you can use the graduated filter and some additional settings to make your photo a little more dynamic and dramatic. •• This is the view of downtown Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge from #Dumbo. . . . . .
