It’s happened to me in a few places, and now I can add Bulgaria to that list, as everyone I met on the awesome bar-and-cafe-filled Vitosha Boulevard assumed I was local until my confusion at being handed a menu in Cyrillic letters proved otherwise. •• By the way, this is a game I almost never win in the country I am actually almost 100% ethnically from, Greece.
