St. Malachy’s - knows as The Actor’s Chapel thanks to its location in the #NYC Theater District. •• Mass times and confessions were changed at the chapel to accommodate theater schedules. Rudolph Valentino was eulogized here, Douglas Fairbanks and Joan Crawford were married in the chapel, and several entertainers including Bob Hope were regular parishioners. •• New York might be known for its bigger, flashier attractions - Times Square, Rockefeller Center - but I always like finding these quieter spots with their unique stories. . . . .
