A young woman with long, curly blonde hair is lounging comfortably on a plush teal chair in a bright and airy room. She has her legs stretched out, revealing her toned, bare legs. She is wearing a navy blue tank top and denim shorts. In her hands, she is holding a book that she appears to be reading intently. Through the large windows beside her, a picturesque view of a residential neighborhood with trees and buildings can be seen in the distance, bathed in warm sunlight. The scene exudes a sense of relaxation and leisure.

[DAY 19] Divide up your house into spaces to help you function. What do I mean? #quarantinetips •• By now you’ve probably realized that doing everything in the same spot - eating, working, relaxing, exercising, etc. - makes it really hard to focus on different parts of your day. You end up stopping your online course to grab 5 snacks, videochat for an hour, watch YouTube for another, etc. •• Part of the reason staying at home is hard is because we associate different spaces with different things, and entering that space flips our mind into work/chill/socialize mode, whatever the case may be. •• You don’t need to have a big place to do this. Even in a one room studio, you can designate a place where you work, a place where you eat/socialize, a place where you relax. •• I love reading. I realized when I had my books in my workspace, the temptation was too big to stop working and just pick up a book. So I made this chair in my room my reading corner. Whatever I’m currently reading is on the chair, and I can only resume reading when my work is done and I come here to sit down. •• I do my morning routine (writing, meditation, etc.) at the kitchen table, work at my desk, yoga and exercise in a designated spot where I have permanently left a yoga mat, read in this corner, relax and socialize on my couch and bed. I would also advise you leave each space set up for whatever you’ve designated it for (workout, eating, TikTok videos, etc.) Put your phone where you socialize and your weights ready to go where you workout. Makes it easier to just enter that space and immediately get started. •• It helps, I swear. Try it out if you feel it’s hard to get any structure in your days, or one thing keeps interrupting another. I’ll share my own setup in my IG story! . . . .
