[DAY 31] Which one am I smiling in?! #quarantinetips •• It’s been a month of isolation for a lot of us now, and I wanted to make something clear. All the advice I give, and other people give, for how to spend your time or suggestions for things you could do in quarantine is just that: advice. •• NO ONE should feel bad or guilty for not being as productive, or active, or anything, as they thought they would be now. •• It’s OK to not be OK. The underlying anxiety and uncertainty of the current situation takes a toll on us whether we like it or not. The lack of in-person socialization takes a toll. In our hierarchy of needs, our brain has taken a few steps down from more advanced processes to focus on health, sanity and survival. •• So if you don’t log on to the class you want to take every day, or skip a couple of days of practicing something, or slack off in whatever you want to be doing....it is alright. If you just wanna watch your favorite movies or take a long walk instead, if that is what your body and mind needs to take care of itself that day, it is alright. •• There will be no guilt and shaming here! . . . .
