A young woman with long, wavy brown hair and a slight suntan is captured in a photograph with a lush, verdant forest as the backdrop. She holds a dried leaf from the trees surrounding her, gazing at it with a pensive expression. Her clothing, consisting of a denim jacket layered over a light gray sweatshirt, suggests a cool, temperate climate. A metal hair clip adorns her tresses, adding a subtle touch of accessorizing. The image exudes a sense of serenity and connection with nature, inviting the viewer to appreciate the beauty of the outdoors and the simple pleasures it offers.

The under eye circles, my nose red from the cold, hairā€™s a mess, etc, etc. But part of the freedom of getting lost in nature is not being worried about looking perfect while hiking through a mountain. Not sure if anyone else has felt this, but spending a lot of days at home in super casual clothes and make up free in 2020 has made me a lot less self-conscious of my 100% natural look than usual. Itā€™s interesting to note, whether weā€™re in nature or in quarantine, how much we actually want to dress up or alter ourselves when impressing/looking good for other people stops being a factor. In the socially distanced world of 2020 thatā€™s been a big thought in my head: what do we really do for ourselves, and what do we do for others without even realizing it? If you want to help me procrastinate on a Monday, let me know your thoughts below! . . . . .
