Hey there. I’ve had a real problem with Instagram for a while that only seems to get worse. So I think we all deserve a #SanitySunday (I’ll explain below) - I’ll start off with a picture of me doing what I do 90% of the time I’m not on the road - casually dressed, at home, kinda tired, working on my laptop. #losethemap
••
Something about the constant beautifully posed and photoshopped pictures coupled with descriptions of everyone JUST KILLING IT IN LIFE 24/7 is seeming more and more…hollow. And I have the feeling the world would be a slightly kinder, more tolerable place to live if we were just a bit more honest about ourselves and our lives.
••
I was torn on what to do for a while – I’m still a photographer, I use this account to show off beautiful places throughout the world, and I still want to create beautiful photos to share. But I don’t want it to be the only thing I share.
••
Then a couple of weeks ago I stumbled into part of an IG Reddit thread called “Sanity Sunday”. It was dedicated to posting non-Photoshopped, more real pictures of women. I don't do much in the way of Photoshop, but I decided to take the “Sanity Sunday” concept and use it to inject some realism into my own feed every Sunday.
••
So you’ll get: a non-IG-geared picture of me, one thing I accomplished, and one thing I failed at. Accomplished: made great connections at Digital Hollywood Experience. Failed: didn’t get ONE blog post up even though I wanted to post three. Too. Damn. Tired.

Share your own challenges, frustrations, or bad moments on the road (or this week) below. I want this to be an open, supportive, honest community. No dismissive, joke-y responses for today please. SHARE! ⬇️⬇️⬇️
