If there’s anything the sea always reminds me of, it’s how small and insignificant we truly are in the face of everything nature has created in this world.
••
I’ve been devastated this week to see the wildfires ripping through my home state of California and the West Coast in general. It seems such a stark contrast to the peaceful jaunts in nature I’ve been enjoying here.
••
We have one planet. We need to act now to take care of it. We’re not entitled to destroy this world for every other generation, especially when we’re such a small part of life here on Earth.
••
I think of that a lot when I find myself in places like these; I don’t want my grandchildren (should I have them) and their generation to have no sense of fresh air, clean water, the majesty and beauty and life of an unspoiled environment.
