A woman is lying on her back on a pebbly beach, striking a relaxed pose with her arms outstretched above her head and her eyes closed, basking in the sun. Her tanned skin and toned figure are accentuated by her skimpy blue bikini. The breathtaking scenery behind her features crystal-clear turquoise waters lapping at the shore and a rugged, rocky coastline covered in lush greenery. In the distance, a sailing yacht can be seen anchored near a small jetty, adding to the serene and idyllic ambiance of a tropical paradise. Vacation Zen. 📸: @elma_yoga I arranged a four day trip with friends. An actual vacation. Not a work trip with a couple of fun things mixed in, not filming on location, not landing in a city and running to a meeting. The difference is significant. And it’s taken me a while to figure it out. The way I present things on IG, usually pointing out the fun parts of any trip, it can be easy to also fool myself into believing I’m taking actual quality time off even when I’m working remotely or working 10-12 hour days on set, though granted, in a cool location. There are still a few things I need to keep track off, so I limited my email/check up time to 30-60 minutes before dinner max. And I haven’t gone over it yet. Anyone who knows me knows this step in work/life separation is a giant accomplishment. Point being, sometimes we deserve a real break. And it’s good to actually take it. The fact that I get to do it all with two of my favorite people in this world is even better. What’s your perfect day off look like?
