If this is a dream, donāt wake me upš
I honestly had no expectations when I woke up at 6am yesterday morning to catch sunrise at Mt. Hoodā¦ I just knew that it was pretty likely the mountain would be out. I started off at Trillium Lake, and instantly knew that the sunrise would be incredible when I saw the low lying fog and mountain peaking out from between the clouds. After I put my drone up, I actually left the classic lake view behind and just kept chasing the fog around the forest capturing different angles of the mountain. It wasnāt until I moved to a second spot up the road and the sun was just rising over the hills, that I looked back and decided to do one more flight over the fog. I was just thinking Iād take some look down shots of the fog through trees, but little did I know what I was about to capture. As I reached the spot where I wanted to shoot, I started to pan the camera up and saw the light pouring through the trees and I couldnāt believe it! For the next 10 minutes or so I was a combination of flipping my shit, and being laser focus trying to capture what I saw in front of meā¦ Iāve been dreaming of capturing a moment like this for years, and yesterday morning it finally happened! I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I doā probably on 30 viewings at this point hahahš
