Let me be honest with all of you real quick, up until this last week it had been over two months since I had gone hiking or picked up my camera. It was just one of those winters, with a never ending to do list that made it easy to skip going outside with how cold it was and with so many of the places I love being closed/much harder to access due to winter conditions. While I have been working on projects that I’m incredibly excited about and will likely lead to many new adventures, this time away from the outdoors and using my camera definitely took a toll on me. I noticed myself feeling creatively drained and have felt the urge to create and get out again growing and growing. This past week I finally did and it felt soooo good! Just being outside again, hitting the road knowing that I’d was on my way to hike and going to take photos... it changed my mood and energy in an instant. I was completely in the moment. On this hike with @her.oregon.life, I also got back to capturing photos in a way I’ve always loved; a candid style that conveys what it felt like to be there in the moment. It’s definitely a style I want to explore more this summer while out adventuring with friends... which I am going to be doing much more consistently going forward! I don’t entirely know where I’m headed, but I can’t wait to share each step of the way with all of you... 🌤🌬
