A person stands atop a rocky outcrop, surrounded by a vast evergreen forest stretching out towards distant snow-capped mountains in the background. The scene is bathed in the warm, soft light of either a sunrise or sunset, casting a warm glow over the rugged landscape. The person is wearing a blue jacket and black pants, and is accompanied by a golden retriever dog sitting obediently at their side. The pair seems to be taking in the breathtaking natural vista before them, perhaps having hiked up to this vantage point to catch the stunning mountainous view at this magical time of day.

Over the years sunsets and sunrises begin to blur together somewhat, but I’ll always remember moments with the people I was with. On this morning, @jessetalavera picked me up at 2:30am and we booked it up to the trailhead, hauled ass up the trail and made it just in time for sunrise at around ~ 5:20am. We were both totally exhausted after, but also totally stoked. There’s just something about being up before pretty much everyone else... ya know? What’s the earliest you’ve gotten up to catch sunrise, and do you have any wacky sunrise chasing stories? I’d love to know!🤙🏻
