REAL TALK: Please Read. In light of the ongoing Govt. Shutdown, our parks are in danger of being irreparably damaged. Some already have been. We obviously won’t be able to keep everyone out of the parks until things change, but there are habits we can work until they do and continue to participate in as we move forward. First and foremost, anything you bring into the park comes out with you. At this time, be prepared that you may not be able to dispose of your trash in a park so bring a trash bag and dispose of it properly once you leave the park. Lastly, and this is something I will be posting about throughout the year, is to encourage people to bring trash bags with them (and gloves if that helps) whenever they’re out in nature. Pick up as much trash as you can and then document it on your stories or feed and encourage others to do so as well. As an extra incentive, anyone who does this and tags me will get 15 high fives and be featured in my story. Let’s be #trashyinagoodway, by being responsible with our trash!
