Trekking the Altai Mountains of Mongolia

Mongolia's Altai Mountains are epic! ⛰️😍 That time I flew across the world to Mongolia, landed in Ulaanbaatar, flew another 2 hours to Ulgii & drove 5 hours (mainly off-roading) into the Altai Mountains to do a ger homestay in one of the most stunning places on earth. 🌍 I think it was worth it. 😉 Swipe right 👉 for some photos and let me know if you agree! 😁 The Altai Mountains are known for their breathtaking natural beauty, with rugged peaks, deep valleys, pristine lakes & winding rivers. These landscapes provide a home for animals like snow leopards, argali sheep, ibex, golden eagles & more. 🦅 This remote region is also home to diverse ethnic groups - like the Kazakhs, Mongolians, Tuvans, and others - each with their own unique traditions, languages, and ways of life. I personally stayed with a Kazakh family while visiting and it was incredible getting to know them & their culture a bit more. 🛖 I'll share more about the homestay experience in a future post! 📍 What’s the most remote place you’ve ever been? ✈️ #BeyondTheGuidebook
