Thingvellir National Park, Iceland
There are many reasons Thingvellir National Park is a must-visit in Iceland. Not only is it a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of three national parks in Iceland, it's also where their parliament first assembled in 930 AD. Actually, a number of sources tout it as the world's oldest existing parliament, too. This shot was taken early in the morning from the park's Visitor Center, with volcanoes, farmhouses and fissures due to moving tectonic plates all in view. You can also walk through the dramatic Almannagjá fault. Pretty awesome! 🤗
