Jessie on a Journey
A smiling woman wearing a floral print dress is standing on the Brooklyn Bridge, a famous suspension bridge spanning the East River between Manhattan and Brooklyn in New York City. The iconic bridge's sturdy stone towers and intricate web of cables are visible in the background, framing the woman's figure. The woman's dress has a navy blue base and vibrant floral patterns in shades of red, pink, and green. The dress features a thigh-high slit, allowing her leg to be visible as she stands on the wooden planks of the pedestrian walkway. The Manhattan skyline, including several skyscrapers, can be seen in the distance behind the bridge.

The Struggle With Work-Life Balance

The truth about a modern and flexible work schedule? It can be *really really difficult* to stop working! 😭 (And, yes, that also goes for travel bloggers who are working from the beach. Remember, they're still working!) 🏖️ Recently I shared about a book I read on @Blinkist called "Do Nothing" by Celeste Headlee. There was a lot of wisdom in this book, including an idea called "polluted time" -- like the time you spend answering emails. 💻 But we don't just experience polluted time while working. Because we're never really off, and because our phone is always within reach (err, let's be real, it's usually in our hands!), we can always check those emails and notifications. 📱 In my opinion, your time is one of the most valuable things you have. It's why companies will pay you for it and why there never seems to be enough of it. ❤️ In 2021, let's vow to cherish that time and make it count. For me, that means working hard when it's work time, and relaxing hard when it's relaxing time. 👈 Seriously. My friends tell me I'm the worst texter in the world, and I take pride in that. 😉 How do you make sure your time is pure and pollution-free? ⏰
