Jessie on a Journey
A striking black and white mural depicting a young girl's face is painted on the side of a large brick building. The mural features highly detailed and realistic textures, capturing the girl's messy hair and facial features with remarkable precision. She appears to be bundled up in a striped sweater, suggesting a chilly day. The mural's monochrome palette lends an atmospheric and somewhat somber tone to the scene. In the background, a partly cloudy sky adds depth and contrast to the image. A construction crane or scaffolding can be seen next to the building, hinting at ongoing development or renovation in the area.

Striking Mural in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Experimenting a bit with my Instagram #photography here. While I typically love to make my photos pop with bright colors, I decided to try a bit more of a low-fidelity aesthetic. Here I am wandering around #Williamsburg, #Booklyn, in the historic area near Peter Lugers Steakhouse (a delicious Brooklyn institution since 1887). I love how past meets present, Byzantine-Romanesque architecture and a SoHo feel blending with street art and hip cafes. It's much different than the hipster-rich Bedford Avenue nearby -- although I enjoy this area and the local waterfront, as well. What's your favorite place to walk around #NYC?
