Staying Active During Quarantine

Just because I can't travel doesn't mean I can't still MOVE. 💃 I read an article in Harvard Health Publishing recently titled "More evidence that exercise can boost mood" that discussed study findings showing a 26% decrease in the odds of becoming depressed in those who added 15 minutes of high-intensity physical activity or 60 minutes of low-intensity physical activity to their daily routine. 💪 (As in, you don't have to run 5+ miles to see the benefits, you just have to move around. Finding something you actually look forward to doing will also help you stick with it!) 🙌 Honestly, though, I don't need a study to tell me this as I see it in myself. On days where I get in that morning yoga session or that evening dance class, I feel so much better, happier, motivated, and all-around good. 😍 One benefit of quarantine is the abundance of free livestreamed classes -- like the hyperlapsed @305fitness class shown here. While it's challenging cohabitating with my fiance in a teeny tiny Manhattan apartment right now, I'll gladly bang into the stove and knock over a chair if it means I can jump around to Britney and twerk to Lizzo! #HelloEndorphins 😂 Are you finding ways to stay moving during quarantine?
