Solo Female Travel: Overcoming Doubts

"Well-behaved women seldom make history" - Laurel Thatcher Ulrich⁠ ✨⁠ To my fellow ladies who travel solo: how do you handle naysayers and negative comments (and genuinely concerned loved ones)?⁠ 🤔⁠ While the people in my life have generally accepted that I travel alone, it certainly wasn't always easy to convince them.⁠ 😰⁠ Actually, it wasn't until my dad traveled to Türkiye with me and saw how I could handle myself abroad that he finally said "Okay, I feel a lot better now."⁠ 😁⁠ One thing I do love doing is showing people just how many amazing women are out there seeing the world solo. Constantly being inspired by you all + my genuine passion for traveling alone have kept me from canceling so many trips.⁠ ✈️⁠ And I'm so glad I kept going, because I credit solo travel for having a HUGE influence on the person I am today. ❤️
