Jessie on a Journey
A person dressed in burgundy athletic wear is executing an advanced yoga pose called Crow or Bakasana on a sandy beach with the ocean visible in the background. They are balancing their entire body weight on their hands with their knees tucked into the backs of their arms, their core engaged, and their feet lifted off the ground behind them. The sky is partly cloudy, providing an idyllic setting for the yoga practice. The image conveys a sense of balance, strength, and serenity amidst the natural beauty of the beach environment.

Silencing the Multi-Tasking Mind

How do you silence your mind during a busy day? ✌️ ___ Did you know that each day the mind thinks about 70,000 thoughts?! 😳 ___ See, now it all makes sense why it’s so darn hard to sit and finish a blog post without also stopping to answer *just one* email, and respond to that Facebook message from last week you totally forgot about, and quickly browse flights to Italy, and call that fridge repair service you meant to call, and try out that new yoga pose you saw on YouTube and….oh yea, that blog post. 😫 ___ Shhh...today is all about silencing the multi-tasking mind. Oh, and it's the final day of the Travel Blog Prosperity Take Action Challenge, though you can still signup to do it at your own pace (Link: jessieonajourney.com/free-blogging-challenge). 💻 ___ I'll give you one *easy* tip I've implemented to quiet my crazed brain: shutting off notifications! Instead, schedule times to work on social media, create products and check your email (don't have Gmail sitting open the whole day). 😉 ___ Then, notice how easy and enjoyable it is to write a blog post without stopping 101 times to answer emails, comment on Facebook and post on Instagram. This also allows you to feel like you're ticking items off your to-do list (vs doing a tiny bit of many things). 💪 ___ Photo taken in Myrtle Beach, the first time I held Crow Pose for more than .08 seconds before falling on my face :) I credit a shift in my gaze (past my fingers) as well as a shift in my mind (to a place of confidence) to this win 🤗
