Pigeon Folklore In Kathmandu | Feeding Pigeons At Seto Machindranath Temple

Recently I went on a food tour in Kathmandu, and our guides took us to Seto Machindranath Temple to feed the pigeons -- for a very special reason. According to our guides, there is pigeon folklore in Kathmandu and in other areas of Nepal. People feed the pigeons to gather them into a group, and then run through them to make them fly. It's believed the energy from their wings flapping as they fly away transfers energy to the people below. Enjoy this short clip of the experience.
