Jessie on a Journey
The image depicts two glasses of alcoholic beverages, likely cocktails, resting on a wooden surface alongside a lit candle. One glass contains a golden-hued liquid with a lemon or lime garnish, while the other has a darker, amber-colored beverage. The scene exudes a cozy, dimly lit ambiance reminiscent of a bar or lounge setting. A menu or drink list is visible in the background, suggesting the image was taken at a venue specializing in craft cocktails. The warm lighting and the presence of the candle contribute to an intimate, inviting atmosphere.

Pegu Club: A Craft Cocktail Haven in NYC

#PeguClub is one of my top three favorite cocktail bars in #NYC, and a place I totally don’t mind paying $14 for a drink (because it’s totally worth it). It’s designed after a British Colonial Officer’s club in Burma, with velvet couches, low wood tables, tropical plants and a bar stuffed with mixologist paraphernalia that twinkles in the dim, candlelit room. Pegu Club is the brainchild of famed mixologist Audrey Sauders, who is known for helping to bring craft cocktails back to New York after the downfall of the artful drink following Prohibition and WWII. I ended my day exploring SoHo with a drink that’s not on the menu but they made specially for me, a spicy tequila drink laced with citrusy lime. My companion opted for a warm and #boozy beverage off their #hottoddy menu. What's your favorite #cocktail bar in #NewYork?
