Jessie on a Journey
A smiling older woman stands tall and confident in a desert landscape surrounded by rocky outcrops. She wears a colorful patterned dress and a vibrant headwrap adorned with beaded decorations. Her face is lined with age and creased in a joyful expression, embodying a rich cultural heritage. At her feet lies an assortment of handcrafted items, likely her wares for sale. The rugged, sun-baked terrain stretches out behind her, with sparse vegetation and towering rock formations silhouetted against a bright, cloudy sky.

Meeting a Namibian Artisan

Why do I travel? This right here. Getting to meet locals and immerse myself in cultures different from mine is the #1 reason I do what I do; and while travel blogging is much harder than many may think, it can be very rewarding. This photo was taken in Namibia, right before entering Spitzkoppe, a group of bald ancient granite peaks with otherworldly shapes (that are very fun for climbing). This woman -- along with others -- were selling their wares. If you're visiting Namibia I highly recommend spending some time here and bringing a camera 😊 * ** *** ****
