Hiking Trails of Woodstock, Vermont

One thing I've absolutely loved about Woodstock, Vermont is the endless amount of hiking. I started by crossing the street from the Woodstock Inn & Resort, walking over a whimsical covered bridge and entering the trailhead for the Faulkner Trail in Faulkner Park. Summitting Mount Tom and enjoying aerial Woodstock views wasn't a bad way to start the morning. From there, I hiked into the adjoining Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park -- Vermont's first national park -- which was full of trails. I chose to do The Pogue Loop, which is I how I stumbled upon this beautiful pond reflection. Even better, I enjoyed it completely alone, sugar maples and ancient hemlocks enhancing the scene and beautiful Great Blue herons fishing for bass. From there, I was able to hike into the Billings Farm & Museum to learn about Vermont's agricultural heritage. What's your favorite hike in the USA?
