Hiking Adventures in the Sierra Nevada
USA HIKING ADVENTURES AWAIT.
🥾
My quarantine experience in NYC has been essentially staying inside a teeny-tiny apartment with almost no natural light. Needless to say, I'm absolutely craving some outdoor adventure.
⛰️
I've been getting inspiration from my fellow travel bloggers -- like Daria of @thediscoverynut, who wrote a guest post for me on hiking Mount Whitney in one day. These are actually her Mount Whitney photos that I'm sharing here with permission. Swipe right to see the gallery or click this link to read the post.

🎒☝️
Mount Whitney in California is the tallest mountain in the contiguous United States, with an elevation of 14,505 feet, offering incredible views of the Sierra Nevada.
🏔️
What is wild is that many people opt instead to visit Death Valley and Yosemite National Park, often missing this trek altogether.
😮
Pro tip from Daria: While you need a permit to summit Mount Whitney, you can hike a portion of the Whitney Portal National Recreation Trail -- to the gorgeous Lone Pine Lake that sits dazzling amidst granite peaks -- without one.
😍
Moreover, if you prefer multi-day hiking, the John Muir Trail is a great option. It begins at Yosemite National Park, traverses through the Sierra Nevada in Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks before ending at Mount Whitney.
