Gratitude in Challenging Times: Reflections from Nepal
The universe certainly does work in mysterious ways sometimes.
🌏
Even before the current pandemic, I hadn't been traveling much. Actually, I haven't been on a plane since November, which is much different from my usual packed travel schedule.
✈️
It wasn't that I didn't want to (trust me, I wanted to!); however, the fact that Andy and I are currently planning a wedding and looking to buy a home in NYC meant there was just too much going on to leave.
🎊
I complained quite a bit about my lack of travel, feeling frustrated and like I wasn't where I should be. But then when the pandemic began I felt immense gratitude that I was already exactly where I *needed* to be (and realized my previous attitude maybe wasn't the best option).
✨
This all being said, I think it's important to realize there are many travelers still stuck abroad due to travel bans, some of them totally on their own. If you know someone who is, try to offer support as much as you can (and if you are one of these travelers, please let me know if there is a way I can offer support!).
⛰️
These are challenging times, but it's been inspiring to see the ways many people and businesses are trying to offer assistance, entertainment, classes, and more. Hopefully, humanity can ultimately grow together from this difficult universal experience.
